In my opinion, body health is a state of being in which all three areas are in balance. When one or more of these areas is out of balance, it can lead to physical, mental, and/or spiritual illness.
In my opinion, when someone is in a state of mental and spiritual harmony, it increases their quality of life. While the concept of “spirituality” has become quite ambiguous over the years, I believe that spirituality can be defined simply as an individual’s sense of purpose or meaning in life. For me, mental health is defined by feelings of well-being; both emotionally and psychologically. These definitions are important to mention because they help us understand why holistic approaches must incorporate all three areas: physical, mental, and spiritual.

In this case, each area; spiritual, mental, and physical – is connected and needs attention to heal the person’s overall state of health.
